If we are truly entering an era where we need to break out these well established tools, a few pointers.

Get a PGP key, attach it to a few email accounts that you’re not going to lose control of and just sign your Internet communications. It’s just that simple. And once you start seeing USA Today reporters doing that, you go do it to in order to normalize the behavior and to attract entrepreneurs to the newly revived secure messaging market. But the most important thing to do is to not shut up, not once, not ever. And if you find yourself intimidated, take a break, say some prayers, and dive back into the fray when you’re psychologically recharged.
