This Killed Me

I know, right? Funniest thing ever!

It’s funny, but I’m starting to feel my age: those grotesque, squinchy line-art faces that are popping up all over the YouTubes these days (including this video), where did those originate? Is that some sort of European cell-phone thing.

All I know is that 0:36 is called a trollface. It’s a meme used to signify a comment troll.

It’s called Rage Face, and originated on 4Chan(NSFL) but became popular on Reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu/

      Yes I have no life.

Ahh, okay. 4Chan explains a lot. Thank you very much for the explanation, and I am in your debt! There was a time not too long ago when, if I didn’t understand something on the Internet, I would actually do the research to learn about it and understand it. As I’ve gotten older I find myself caring less and less — unless it gets to the point where I am actively annoyed, as it had in this case.

Look on memebase, knowyourmeme, or ragecomics (all part of the cheezburger network and those are generally SFW, though not all their sites are). That’ll help with id-ing all those characters like trollface, forever alone guy, derp/derpina and all the rest.

I am ruined forever. But it was worth it for the strange quirky craziness of that experience.

I’m still trying to figure out what hot temperate cheese is and how to prepare it for dinner.

  • Dale Price

I’m definitely avoiding taste tests for green chalk.

    • Margaret

Why bother? Everyone knows green chalk tastes like squirrel…

The original lyrics aren’t as funny (and you can almost *see* this version in them) but are almost as nonsensical (must have been written by somebody with VERY bad luck- no wonder it was used in the original Conan movie):

Darn! I was expecting another “Henri”
