A little something from a couple of years ago in honor of the day.
“Always at the shadowy edge of human evil is the awareness that it trails off into a darkness where something is breathing: something that hates us and wills our destruction.”
Well, Mark, that gave me the only chill I’ve had on Halloween in decades.
The night I decided to walk my dog all the way down the bike path to the cemetery and discovered that someone thought glow-in-the-dark gravestone inserts were a good idea gave me rather shiver. It was a foggy night with great spooky ambiance. T’was not Halloween, though.
