Lovely to see saints being honored as they should be

Some bittersweet news from the People’s Republic of Maplegrad:

Pro-life heroines Linda Gibbons and Mary Wagner received medals from the Governor General of Canada this week in recognition of their “contribution to Canada”.

The activists are internationally renowned for having been arrested and jailed numerous times for violating abortion clinic ‘bubble zones,’ while peacefully seeking to council abortion-bound moms to choose life. In fact, Wagner is currently in jail, after her arrest in August for witnessing at the Woman’s care Clinic in Toronto.

“This is the best news I’ve heard in a long time,” said Gwen Landolt, national vice-president of REAL Women Canada, to LifeSiteNews (LSN).

Mary Wagner, by the way, is receiving accolades not merely from big shots and powerful people, but from the most important people in the world: the least of these. Pray for her that Canada wises up and stops persecuting her. Pray even more for Canada that it cease being a country that persecutes its best citizens.

Happy All Saints!

I have to respect a people who will both jail a man over and over for breaking their laws, AND simultaneously award recognition for their contributions to said people though…
