As we discuss the Immaculate Conception…

We look at the 19th Century Philosphies of Pride and the rebellion against God as Father. As we shall see next time, that leaves you, not with No God, but with God as Master. And that will play out disastrously in the 20th century.

Speaking of Philosophies of Pride, I see the NCR has traded in implicit undermining Church teaching in favor of direct defiance and has come out in favor of women’s ordination. http://ncronline.org/news/people/editorial-ordination-women-would-correct-injustice

Well I can certainly see why so many “Catholics” voted for Obama.

As opposed to all of the “Catholics” who voted for Romney. Seriously, don’t be a jackass. There were Catholics who decided, for a variety of reasons, to support the major candidates. There were Catholics who decided, for a variety of reasons, to support the third-party candidates. There were even Catholics who decided, for a variety of reasons, to abstain. Putting scare quotes around people who we must assume in charity made a prudential judgement with which you disagree is disingenuous.
