The Bay Area Chesterton Society continues to stagger along. J We have a blog: http://bayareachesterton.wordpress.com/2013/04/29/may-meeting-orthodoxy/ and a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/BayAreaChestertonSociety
We are diving into Orthodoxy this month, if you’d be kind enough to spread the word…
Greetings, Bay Area Chestertonians!
We will meet up on the first Wednesday of the month, May 1st, at 7:00 PM at Country Gourmet in Sunnyvale. This month we will begin reading the Chesterton classic Orthodoxy. The book is widely available in book stores and libraries, and can be obtained at no cost in many formats online like PDF, Kindle, etc. We will be reading Orthodoxy over a period of several months— the plan is to discuss the book from the beginning through the end of chapter 3 at this upcoming meeting.
New members are always welcome, with no need to call or RSVP in advance. Reading the selection ahead of time, and bringing a copy of the text with you are helpful, but not required.
Attendees are asked to contribute $1 in monthly dues, which are being saved to eventually bring in a speaker. If you’ve never eaten at Country Gourmet before, be aware that you place your order up at the front counter, and the staff will bring your food to your table. So please step up and order upon arrival, then join us at the table.
As always, new faces are welcome. Feel free to invite friends!
