Two Urgent Prayer Requests

Thomas Peters, of Catholicvote.org, was in a swimming accident and has broken his neck.  He is awake and stable but I don’t know anything else.

Father, hear our prayer for Tom that he be completely healed in body, soul, and spirit.  Give grace, understanding, knowledge, skill, wisdom, and compassion to his caregivers.  Supply his family’s needs, especially financially.  Give grace, peace, strength, faith, hope, and love to him and all who love him.  Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for him.  We ask all this through Christ our Lord.  Amen!

Also, Tom McDonald, who just lost his father, reports that his mother-in-law has collapsed and been taken to the hospital.  Father, heal her completely in body, soul, and spirit.  Give grace, understanding, knowledge, skill, wisdom, and compassion to her caregivers.  Give grace, peace, strength, faith, hope, and love to her and all who love her. Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for her. We ask all this through Christ our Lord. Amen!

    Just to clarify: Thomas Peters’ father, Edward Peters, stated on Facebook that Thomas was in a swimming accident—not a car accident. Prayers going up for both intentions!

    As a gay man I must say my heart goes out to this young man, no matter what our differences. Nobody deserves to suffer like this and I wish a speedy recovery for both him and his family.
