Prayer Request

Prayer Request October 6, 2013

A reader writes:

May I ask for prayers for a co-worker’s son, I think his name is Josh (I am bad with names, but the Lord will know). He is 16, a good athlete and was even beginning to be seen as “Olympic material” with his snowboard. However he had a brief fainting spell at school, fell and hit his head on a concrete floor. The result is a cracked skull and major concussion. His eyesight seems affected too. He is slowly recovering, but his main problem is depression, he has spent the last month sitting in the dark in his bedroom. As most teens would feel in his situation, he sees his life as finished because his life’s dream – the Olympics – is probably shattered. Please pray that he sees some hope, and also pray for his mom, who also has recently gone through a separation (which of course must affect her son).

Thank you very much.

Father, hear our prayer for this boy that he would receive both healing and hope from your Holy Spirit through Christ our Lord. Give his caregivers grace, wisdom, knowledge, compassion, and the proper technology. Heal also his family. Help them to put their eyes on your Son Jesus Christ. Mother Mary, pray for them. We ask all this through Christ our Lord.
