US to Vets

“Thanks for risking your life for us. Get out.”

I think deporting Congress and giving these guys their jobs is a sounder approach.

I agree about keeping the vets here, but what country in its right mind would want our “political leaders”? I am afraid we would to have pay a country take them.

If the price were right, I could easily be in favor of that.

On the other hand, things like firing a weapon unprovoked at a vehicle and agreeing to take part in a drug deal are pretty serious offenses. It’s not like being veterans makes these guys above the law, though I’ll grant that jail time might be a more appropriate punishment than deportation.

I like how the article hedges the drug deal tidbit with “during the 2008 recession,” as if to say it’s OK that he agreed to take $1000 to help with a drug deal because hey times were tough back then (like they aren’t now).
