Feser is a Thomist with his head screwed on straight.

He’s also an ex-atheist who has done a nice job refuting The Usual Stuff from atheism:

It’s always a pity to me that atheists expend *all* of their intellectual firepower trying to shout down what are essentially the throat clearings of St. Thomas at the very beginning of the Summa and never get past that to the really interesting stuff. It’s like a legion of literary critics spending all their lives discussing Hamlet and never getting past

ACT I

SCENE I. Elsinore. A platform before the castle.

FRANCISCO at his post. Enter to him BERNARDO
BERNARDO
Who’s there?
FRANCISCO
Nay, answer me: stand, and unfold yourself.
BERNARDO
Long live the king!
FRANCISCO
Bernardo?
BERNARDO
He.
FRANCISCO
You come most carefully upon your hour.
BERNARDO
‘Tis now struck twelve; get thee to bed, Francisco.
FRANCISCO
For this relief much thanks: ’tis bitter cold,
And I am sick at heart.

There is considerably more to the play than that. And there are much more interesting things to say about God beyond “He exists.”

Teachers like Feser can help, as it were,

he that leaves
A shallow plash to plunge him in the deep
And with satiety seeks to quench his thirst.
