Something for the Last Friday in Lent

Something for the Last Friday in Lent March 27, 2015

Catholics! Remember that today you cannot eat this! Don’t give any further thought to this delicious, tempting, scrumptious image. Put right out of your mind the heavenly aroma, the sumptuous taste, and the wonderful awesome goodness. You’re welcome!

A little humor to lighten the burden:

A Jew, a Catholic, and an Episcopalian died and went to heaven. St. Peter met them and said to the Jew: “You ate bacon”. He pulled the lever and down he went.

The Catholic said to himself, “I’m not bound by kosher laws” and strode confidently up to the Gate. St. Peter said, “You ate meat on a Friday in Lent!” He pulled the lever and down he went.

The Episcopalian said to himself, “I don’t have to observe these Romish pieties” and strode confidently up to the Gate. St. Peter said, “You ate dinner with a *salad* fork!”
