Prayer Requests and Works of Mercy

Prayer Requests and Works of Mercy April 27, 2015

A reader writes:

Please pray for a friend whose son has severe mental issues. She’s a woman of strong Catholic faith, but it’s difficult for her.

Father, hear our prayer for his complete healing in body, soul, and spirit. Give his caregivers grace, compassion, wisdom, counsel, knowledge, creativity, insight, and the proper technology to assist in his healing. Give him and all who love him, especially his mother, grace, consolation, strength, peace, faith, hope, and love. Mother Mary, St. Luke, and St. Dymphna, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I was wondering if you would be willing to share this fundraiser with your followers. Andrew Esherick, university of Dallas class of 2012, passed away unexpectedly and leaves behind Emma a UD senior, their 1 year old daughter Charlotte and a second child due to be born in October.

Please pray for the UD community as we mourn.

Would you please pray for the soul of an acquaintance of mine? She died unexpectedly last week, an apparent suicide. She was only 32 and leaves behind two little boys. She was very hostile toward Christianity, so I am hoping and praying that she somehow called out to Jesus for mercy in her final moments. Thank you.

Father, we know that those who are hostile toward Christianity are not necessarily hostile to your Son Jesus.  Grant that she find your grace and mercy and that her family, especially her children, find you and the healing that you offer in Christ.
