California! They are trying to sneak euthanasia into your state!

A threatening legislative cloud is looming ominously over the Golden State of California right now.

In less than 24 hours, proposed physician-assisted suicide legislation could clear its first hurdle with an approval vote by the State Senate.

Passage of proposed Senate Bill 128 would then move it to the State Assembly for consideration. California is on the verge of decriminalizing what until today is legally considered homicide.

My wife is a gynecological oncologist. Her healing hand has saved countless lives of women both young and old.

In some cases, cancer patients who could have been diagnosed as terminal had their lives extended by years. Like all her medical colleagues, she chose her noble profession to care for people, not kill them.

This impending legislation means for her – and your or any doctor – a violation of their freedom of conscience by forcing them to offer as an option for “treatment” physician-assisted suicide.

Not even pagans espoused this absurdity. Credit be to them for they are responsible for the Hippocratic Oath, the ethical safeguard sworn to by physicians across centuries to guarantee purity in the practice of medicine.

The Oath states: “I will give no deadly medicine to anyone if asked, nor suggest any such counsel…with purity and holiness I will pass my life and practice my art.”

Now twenty-four hundred years later, brazen bureaucrats from their bully-pulpits are attempting with a stroke of a pen to vacate that oath replacing healing with homicide.

Like was attempted with the Obamacare Contraception-Mandate debate just a few years ago, unscrupulous pen pushers are now trying to shove bad medicine down our throats. Not on our watch if I can help it.

That is why I’m writing to you today. Our time is limited to act. Can I count on you?
