Prayer Requests May 11, 2015

A little something I would like you to pass on to your readers if you wouldn’t mind. I am still so grateful to everyone who helped with prayers and financial help last year when we made that distress move. We are moving again, and while things are tight I am grateful to God that we don’t seem to need help financially. However I would be very grateful for prayer support because I am basically having to move everything we owe down the street to the new house by hand/dolly myself and my wife has a bad cold is having trouble helping out/watching our daughter during the move. We really only have the next two days to move in (that it is just this moment raining really doesn’t help either). While I am sure the world is filled with many whose needs exceed my own please do hold us in prayer for the next week or so as we try to get everything moved and settled with a minimum of disaster along the way.

Father, hear our prayer for a successful move and for some community support for this family as it goes through this upheaval and resettles. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for them.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Just got this message from Rev Andrew White the Vicar of Baghdad.

The islamist group (ISIS) just took over Quaragosh, the biggest Christian city in Iraq. There are hundreds of men, women and children that are being beheaded. The people are asking for prayers to be made on their behalf concerning the ongoing atrocity in their country. Please take one minute to pray for them. Pass the message across to all your contacts so that the prayer chain will not be broken. They asked for this special prayer. Please, ensure you pass across the prayer request to the body of Christ for fervent prayers offered on behalf of the brothers, sisters and children in Iraq. This is an urgent SOS. May God bless you. From Andrew White the Vicar of Baghdad.

Father, hear our prayer for the deliverance of your people from the hand of the enemy.  Protect them by your holy angels, give them the grace of your Spirit to bear faithful Christian witness to you whether by life or death, show us what we can do to help them, and bring about the conversion of their persecutors through the blood of your martyrs which is the seed of the Church.  Grant this through Christ our Lord.
