Prayer Request and Praise Report

Prayer Request and Praise Report July 27, 2015

A reader writes:

First, let me thank you and the prayer warriors of your blog for earlier prayers on behalf of our daughter, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. She is currently in remission and remains under treatment. Given that the cancer spread to her spine, lungs, and hips, it is miraculous that she is alive. However, God was bountifully merciful in hearing our petitions, and one of her hip sockets grew back after showing as mostly eaten away on the pre-surgery X-ray. So again, thank you to all.

Second, we have another prayer request. This is for our nephew, a year older than our daughter, who survived cancer at 18. (He is now over 30.) He was injured yesterday, resulting in a partially detached retina and partial loss of vision in one eye. He will undergo emergency surgery this afternoon to prevent the injury from going further, with further loss of vision. We ask you and your prayer warriors to pray for him, his mother and father, and for the surgeon.

Father, thank you for hearing our prayers for this reader’s daughter.  We ask that you would continue the work you are doing in their lives and we ask as well for your healing for her nephew. Give them both complete healing in body, soul, and spirit.  Give their caregivers grace, compassion, wisdom, counsel, knowledge, understanding, creativity, insight, skill and the proper technology to assist in that healing and give them and all who love them grace, peace, consolation, strength, faith, hope, and love through Christ our Lord.  Mother Mary, St. Luke, St. Peregrine, and St.Lucy, pray for them. Amen.
