Pray for a Little Girl

A reader writes:

I don’t normally do this, but I’d like a prayer request. A friend of mine from law school has a beautiful 3 year old daughter, Caroline. Caroline was diagnosed with cancer in November 2015. I’ve been fairly involved with the family. She’s been up and down, and recently she was starting to recover, with the final rounds of chemo. The cancer was finally going in remission. Unfortunately, chemo brings a lot of side effects and her lungs are filling with fluid, her liver and kidneys are inflamed, and her heart rate is through the roof. The doctors have one last-ditch medication they’re going to try. After this, though, they’ve hit the end of the road for little Caroline. She’ll be on her own, but that isn’t looking so great. The doctors don’t think she’ll make it, despite the fact that she was so close.

Father, grant Caroline complete healing in body, soul, and spirit. Give her caregivers grace, compassion, wisdom, counsel, knowledge, understanding, skill, creativity, insight and the proper technology to assist in her healing and give her and all who love her grace, peace, consolation, strength, faith, hope, and love. We ask this through your Son Jesus Christ. Mother Mary, St. Luke, and St. Peregrine, pray for them.
