“Trump’s not perfect, but he’s the best the prolife movement can hope for.”

“Trump’s not perfect, but he’s the best the prolife movement can hope for.” July 26, 2016

It is a searing indictment of the prolife movement that this is spoken in all seriousness without the slightest comprehension of what a massive failure it represents from perhaps the most unteachable demographic in American political life.

Get it: Trump is, by far the worst thing that could happen to the prolife movement for he is destroying it from within. “Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Mt 10:28). The prolife movement is now zealously committed to defending a proabort candidate who will force it to cheer for and support every other evil thing he will say and do. A man who will not answer the question of whether he paid for abortions for his sexual conquests. That is what the prolife movement now stands for and is committed to defend.

And that’s just the start. “Prolife” Trump supporters are now committed to defend *everything* he says and does. Everything. They will have zero time for defending the unborn because they will be running around defending his 60% lie rate, his misogyny, his racism. It is this they will be remembered for, not defending the unborn. They will dance to his tune, not he to theirs. It’s how this always works. He is a vampire who will fasten on the prolife movement (and conservative Christianity), suck it dry of the last drops of credibility, and throw away the empty husk without so much as a “thank you.” It’s what happens when you join yourself to a narcissistic sociopath in the hope that he will love you and care for you. He’s a user of people.

Vote third party if nothing else. But do not sell your soul for this vile human being: the most dangerous menace ever placed within reach of the White House.

And change your tactic to supporting the Church’s whole life teaching, not political parties. Be more prolife, not less. Affirm parties where they agree with the Church and reject them when they don’t. Stop getting turned into good soldiers who fight the Church when it crosses your party.
