Prayer and work of Mercy request

A reader sends this along:

As you may have heard Patrick Werick is in the hospital and is very ill.

The doctors are diagnosing it as granulomatosis with polyangiitis or Wegener’s. It is an autoimmune disease that affects the lungs and kidneys.
Many of you are already praying for his recovery, and at the moment his prognosis is promising. But as any of you who have been in the hospital can attest, the tests and subsequent treatment are expensive.
All of you on my friend list know Paddy, some better than others.
I know him to be an exceptional man, a devout Catholic, a talented musician, a dedicated husband, a doting father, and a good friend.
I also know that he is one who was generous, with his talents, his wisdom and his wit.
Therefore I am asking all of you to be generous and contribute. I don’t expect to make this goal, but every little bit will help offset the medical bills and time away from work.

Father, hear our prayer for his complete healing in body, soul, and spirit. Give his caregivers grace, compassion, wisdom, counsel, knowledge, understanding, skill, creativity, insight, and the proper technology to assist in his healing. Give him and all who love him grace, peace, consolation, strength, faith, hope, and love. Send them generous provision through your people. Mother Mary, St. Luke, and St. Peregrine, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
