Prayer Requests

A reader writes:

This lad, Nolan Scully, is in great need of immediate prayer. He is undergoing intensive cancer surgery today that he may very well not survive. Our parish held a prayer service for him Sunday, pleading with the Lord for His Divine Mercy.

Any assistance you can provide via your blog would be very much appreciated.

Father, hear our prayer for Nolan’s complete healing in body, soul, and spirit. Give his caregivers grace, compassion, wisdom, counsel, knowledge, understanding, creativity, insight, skill and the proper technology to assist in his healing and give him and all who love him grace, peace, consolation, strength, faith, hope, and love. Mother Mary, St. Luke, and St. Peregrine, pray for them all. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Mark, please ask your readers for prayers. I’m on the phone, listening to my sister weep her soul out because she’s learned that her husband, a lapsed Catholic, cheated on her and abused their kids. She converted to Catholicism b/c of him.

Father, intervene with your grace to heal and save this family, to bring justice and repentance, to heal these kids and their mother, and to save this wretched sinner. Above all, help them to hold on to faith in you who are mighty to save and heal. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for them!
