Two prayer requests

Two prayer requests February 6, 2017

A reader writes:

Today I must approach you to humbly ask for prayers. My father will need to undergo two medical operations, but due to some miscommunication and failure on my part, he has not been listed this year as a dependent in the health insurance provided by the company I work for. I ask for prayers that something may be worked out so as to allow us to avail of at least some financial assistance, or that we may figure out other decent means to pay for the procedure (which even with the insurance coverage I’m afraid will still leave some hefty bills). I also ask for prayers as well that both my parents and I remain in relative good health meanwhile, that I may provide better for his and my mother’s needs as they grow even older, and that all this may bring glory to Name of Our Lord Jesus.

And since I am asking for prayers, may I also request for prayers for some of my coworkers, who are under inordinate pressure in their new positions, while having to deal with politicking and posturing from management; all without the recompenses normally expected from a promotion. I ask for prayers that all these matters may be resolved as quickly and fairly for all involved, and that my colleagues receive the proper rewards which they rightfully deserve.

Father, hear our prayer through your Son Jesus Christ.  Mother Mary, St. Luke and St. Joseph, hear my reader’s prayer and obtain for her all that she asks in accord with the Father’s perfect will through Christ our Lord.

Another reader writes:

My sister-in-law is having a mental-health crisis right now, and we are scared and worried sick.

Father, hear our prayer that she would find swift healing body, soul, mind and emotions.  Give her caregivers grace, compassion, wisdom, counsel, knowledge, skill, understanding, creativity, insight, and the proper technology to assist in her complete healing and give her and all who love her grace, peace, consolation, strength, faith, hope and love.  Mother Mary, St. Luke, and St. Dymphna pray for her.  We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
