for suicide prevention!

She writes:

Please support me as I take an amazing journey. The Out of the Darkness Overnight Experience is an 16-18 mile walk over the course of one night. Net proceeds benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, funding research, advocacy, survivor support, education, and awareness programs – both to prevent suicide and to assist those affected by suicide.

My own life has been touched by suicide in a profound way. I have known people who lost their lives to suicide and have struggled myself with thoughts of suicide because of PTSD and depression. For me, this walk is not only a way to support the great work of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, but it is a celebration of my own victories over suicidal thoughts and the healing that I have found through therapy and the support of family and friends. This year marks my third Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk and it has become an event where I have found some healing as well as being able to raise money and awareness.

Won’t you join with me and make a donation toward to help AFSP achieve this great goal? ANY amount helps. Even if all you can donate is a $1.00, that will help save lives!

Thank you for your support of me and this great cause!

Please help if you can!
