Ben Sasse is practically the only member of the Party of Trump I respect

This is in response to Biff Tannen’s latest outburst of misogyny to please the brutish mouthbreathers in his base.

Mika Brzezinski’s response was pretty funny:

Bravo to Senator Sasse for being the extremely rare Republican to actually condemn this stuff without reflexively shouting “They do it too!”

No.  They do not do it too.  Nobody in the history of the Republic has behaved as this childish bully behaves.  Everytime this guy breaks fresh ground in staining and disgracing his office, the average member of the Party of Personal Responsibility shouts “NO!  THEM!” as though Trump is not utterly unique in his astonishing behavior.  All such lies do is make his defenders and excuser more and more into People of the Lie like him.  Senator Sasse is to be commended and looked to as a role model if this ruin of a once serious party is to ever pull itself out of the gutter in which, in every sense of the word, it lies.
