Catholic and Enjoying It!

Please pray for my family. My husband has lost his job. All of our savings were put into that small business. So we basically have nothing to fall back on. My husband was considered to be a contractor with the company that laid him off, so he will not be getting a severance package. We will also be losing our health insurance shortly. Nothing brings health insurance into a new light like losing health insurance for your three kids. I don’t so much worry about myself, as I worry about my daughters losing their health coverage. Nobody should have to worry about that. I have never been more scared in my life. If you ask your readers to pray for me, please don’t use my name. My husband feels really horrible about all of this. He has killed himself to provide for our family. Yet he is beating himself up in the extreme and is humiliated. I don’t know what is going to happen. I’m trying to put my faith in Jesus and give my problems to him, but it’s so hard and I’m so flawed. Please lift us up in prayer.
Father, hear our prayer for work and financial provision for this family. Give this good man and woman assurance of your love and providence for them and take away the fear and shame they feel. Blunt the assaults of the devil on their hearts, help them face this challenge and surround them with the love and care of your Spirit through your Church and the prayers and works of mercy of your people. Holy angels, fight for them and send them tokens of the love of the Father through Christ our Lord. Above all, send them work at a living wage and with health care benefits swiftly and help them provide for their children. St. Joseph and Mother Mary, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
