Prayer Requests

Prayer Requests July 25, 2011

I’ve been crushed, so I haven’t had time to post a prayer request for the people of Norway, for the victims of this monstrous crime, and for the man who killed them. Father hear our prayer for the grieving who live, for the dead that they may rest in peace, and for the man who killed them, that he may be converted Jesus Christ and away from this false messianic political ideology of murder dressed up as your gospel. Mother Mary, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

A reader writes:

If you could post a prayer request to your blog, I would greatly appreciate it. A good friend of my mother’s has a husband who has struggled with a terminal illness for years. He is being taken off life support, and will probably pass away before the day is out. Thank you.

Father, hear our prayer for this man that he may be granted the grace of a happy death through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, pray for him.

Another reader writes:

Could you ask your readers to pray for my brother? He has been an atheist for many years now. While he was visiting my mom, he asked me for a number of books suggestions, so I gave him the best I had of philosophy and Christianity. I don’t know if he’s thinking about converting, but he could certainly use any extra prayers he could get. Also, his wife and he recently separated and they have a child. So, I’d ask that you pray for the whole family, for all their needs and intentions and that God leads them all to their eternal home in heaven.

Father, grant this man the grace of conversion and discipleship as a follower of Jesus Christ. Restore his marriage and family to the glory of your name and their eternal happiness. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for them!
