I still haven’t seen this show, but I think it’s really great that a non-Muslim actress shows so much respect for the character and Islam. My initial reaction was that Muslims should play Muslims, only because of how few of us are in the media, but it seems that she has done her research and takes the role seriously.In the future, it would be nice to see Muslims playing Muslims. It would show others that there are many of us who are interested in this field too.

masha’allah… ooh i hope she marries amaar, they are so cute together… as for the actor, Ive heard shes really nice… she has spoke to a friend of mine many times in toronto about hijab and what it feels like. My friend says she wants to understand everything about it to play the part correctly, masha’allah
