MMW Updates

A few updates on the site:

  • If you’ll scroll down a little, on the right you’ll see a new collection of links entitled “Resources.” These links are mostly non-profit organizations that seek to help Muslim women. I’ve included as many organizations from as many countries as I can. If you know of an organization that seeks to empower Muslim women, be sure to let us know!
  • After a group discussion, we’ve decided to do away with “anonymous” comments. So now, if you’ve got something to say (that doesn’t violate our comment moderation policy), you’ll have to suck it up and get an account or post under an existing OpenID.
  • Nobody has said anything about our pretty new logo. Tsk, tsk! This won’t be our logo forever, so love it while it’s here.

Don’t forget about ASWAT – Palestinian Gay Women.Their website is: http://www.aswatgroup.org, and is available in English and Arabic. Their mailings are sent in Arabic, Hebrew, and English, and they serve, are composed of, and represent queer Palestinian and Arab women in the region, both in the West Bank and Gaza, and in Israel.
