If anyone is interested, I’ve managed to read through most of the book over the past few days (I’m not normally quite this big a keener, but it fits right into the research I need to do for a couple papers.) I’ve found it a really mixed bag – some of the articles are great and thought-provoking, others felt kind of autobiographical, without a whole lot of insight. And others were well-written but I disagreed politically with them (I didn’t think they were critical enough of Canadian state/society.) Worth looking at though, for those of you interested in these topics.

I actually bought the book today because the topic fits really closely with all the papers I’m supposed to be writing over the next few weeks… So far I’m liking parts of it and rolling my eyes at others. I’ll try to comment again once I’ve read through more of it, in case anyone’s wondering what the book itself is like.
