Dear Muslimah Media Watch Readers,
I’m princesse de Clèves, a new contributor based in Paris, France.
As a long-time MMW reader, I have enjoyed the articles as much as the challenging dialogues involved by your comments. As a writer, I will hopefully cover the stories and discourses related to the representation of women and Islam in the European media landscape. Deconstruction in prospect!
If you have any suggestion, please feel free to contact me.
If you want to know more about my background etc., please check the MMW Contributors page.
If you want to know more about the reasons of my pseudonym, please check Wikipedia ; )
All the best, and Ramadhan Kareem.

wow you know the story of the Princesse de Cleves
do you like it
Hi Eman,
I love this story. It’s beautifully written and the moral strength of the main character is just amazing. The novel is not simply about troubled emotions and romance – that’s probably why a French politician, amateur of Rolex watches, exhibition and bling bling lifestyle, was unable to not get it ; )

sorry, i meant: unable to get it…
“Sarkozy’s views on the novel are hardly new. As far back as 2006, before he became president, he made a comment that left no doubt that his school memories of it were not happy ones.”

hahah not going to lie. I hated that book. But it’s okay!
Welcome
Welcome aboard! and I too love your pseudonym, and what I’ve read of the novel (though my French is a little shaky). Look forward to reading your pieces.
