		<description>I think it&#039;s important for this kind of news to be better publicized in the Muslim community as well. I remember watching an episode of Wide Angle a few months ago that profiled women in North Africa (ahh, don&#039;t remember which country) who were studying to become muftis and my mother, who received her religious education at the hands of really traditional imams, actually didn&#039;t know that it was possible for women to become muftis. It was disheartening, and I think knowledge of womens&#039; rights with regard to islamic scholarship would help &quot;buy&quot; Muslim women rights within some of their own communities.</description>
