Spiritual Thought

It is sad to see so many of our fold officially resigning from the Church in response to the recent policy changes in regards to LGBTQ members. I understand and respect that for many this is a move towards boundaries and safety that are necessary for their relational, spiritual and mental health.  I also see many who want to stay and try to influence things from within towards positive change, in spite of the difficulties they might face doing so.  

I thought of the following quote:

“Some crawling reptilians have remained unchanged for millions of years. Some, however, grew feathers and wings and turned into birds. They didn’t become better at crawling or walking, but transcended crawling and walking entirely.”

May we all seek enlightenment and transcendence as we face the current changes and shifts we are all experiencing.
