Why does the menstruating woman not pray or fast? A personal and practical possible answer

As Salaamu Alaikum. I have had some Muslim friends asking questions about certain rules and regulations in Islam. Specifically, it was asked "Why don't we women pray or fast during our menses?".Now, the short answer to that is "God said so". Ramadan Thoughts So Far; Kinda the Same as Non-Ramadan Thoughts, Plus Trayvon

Today is Sunday, the fourteenth of July.  I've been fasting since Tuesday.  I'm starting to get into the swing of things, though getting up at o-dark-thirty to eat when I'm barely conscious is something I'll never be good at.  To the point; my breakfast this morning was two slices of leftover cold pizza and an ice cream sandwich.  Took my vitamins, glugged my water, prayed, went back to bed. Ramadan Moonsighting; A Lesson in “Divide and Conquer”

Every year it's the same thing.  An epic battle rages on the internet between two different factions of Muslims.  I'm not talking Sunni vs Shia here - I'm talking about The Moonsighting Wars. Autstic Kids at my Eid Party? Sure, Why Not?

Salaam Alaikum wa Rahmatullah.
