Contrary to popular belief, not every American Muslim considers Islamophobia and CVE the most dangerous aspect of their lives or of primary concern. For millions of NbA (native-born American) Black and Black Muslims across the country, the death of Blacks and People of Color by law enforcement present a more immediate threat. However, there is very little support from non-Black Muslims in addressing the trail of Black blood despite Islamic teachings to be instrumental in ending persecution.

Instead of using time, energy, and words beating the Muslim woman in Playboy controversy to death, why not play a proactive role in ending police violence on Black bodies?

And before commenting, “Muslims can do both,” save it because they don’t.
