I am often stressed by the sheer number of decisions I make for Lil D; making educated guesses at what he wants, what he likes, what he needs, when he must follow through on a something or endure a situation, and when we should cut him some slack. After all the kids came home from school yesterday, after we got through the first hour of craziness ā€“ unpacking backpacks, assessing homework, the requisite post-bus ride-avoidance-of-meltdown shower for Lil D and hearty snacks for all ā€“ I settled Amal into her homework and Hamza with a monster truck video on Netflix and headed upstairs.
