medjugorje Prophecies Unfolding? The Madonna Files – New Novel About the Mysterious Rise of Christianity in Russia September 30, 2016

 Russian Leadership Embraces Christianity

Suddenly Russia dominates the news as never before in the past twenty-five years. To the surprise of most veteran election observers, Putin and Russia  have found themselves front and center in this year’s  presidential race.

Beyond merely flexing its growing military muscle and displaying bold assertiveness from the Crimea invasion to fighting a proxy war with the United States in Syria, Russia is leaving the West astonished with its departure from its Soviet atheist past as a mysterious but unmistakable rise of the Russian Orthodox Church’s influence takes hold inside the Byzantine power corridors of the Kremlin.

Hillary Clinton says ‘Putin has no soul”.  Putin, with a crucifix around his neck,  today lectures the United States that it has abandoned its Christian roots. A “Holy War” is emerging and the world is set on a collision course.

As tensions between the USA and Russia  intensify,  a new Russian nuclear submarine has been named after a Russia Orthodox Saint. The new sub will be fitted with its own Orthodox chapel. It becomes the forth nuke-carrying sub equipped with a religious sanctuary. The four nuclear subs bestowed with the names of Orthodox Saints are St. George the Victor, the Dmitrii Donskoi, the Yurii Dolgorukii, and the Aleksandr Nevskii.

Black cowled priests regularly conduct religious service on Russian military bases sprinkling holy water and incense on weapons of mass destruction. The Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church is often seen huddled up with Vladimir Putin in intense discussions. As Putin’s power in Russia solidifies the separation of Church and State is  rapidly disappearing. Today Russia and the Orthodox Church are one and nobody in the United States government is paying attention.

In light of the huge developments between the new Russia and a new America, Virginia based author, Stephen Ryan’s Vatican thriller The Madonna Files, described by New York Times bestselling author Frank Schaeffer as “A Powerful book of adventure and faith”,  may change the way you think of the West, Russia and the Mother of Christ that Russia is quickly restoring as a mother figure for its people.
Stephen’s fast paced, contemporary thriller, set in Washington D.C., makes a strong case that the Virgin Mary is not only a beloved figure among the Catholic faithful but her actual miraculous appearances on earth in the form of “apparitions” have quite literally changed the course of history throughout the ages.

Interestingly, The Madonna Files is not so much a look back on history but, at its core, the book is deeply rooted in Marian prophecy that pertains to the near future and that Russia is the key – the lynchpin, the regulator of a rapidly approaching political crisis between a rising Christian theocracy in Russia and a rapidly de-christianizing United States. Vladimir Putin and the rise of Russia play a big role in the novel.

Many readers of Jonathan Cahn’s books “The Harbinger” and “Shemitah” will find The Madonna Files spellbinding. The Amazon best seller begins when a secret letter goes missing from the Pope’s apartment. Ambitious prelates with different visions of the Catholic Church believe the holder of the letter controls the power of the Church.

The novel is a contemporary story of Rene Estabrook,  a beautiful, but lonely Georgetown University History professor  who finds herself a pawn in a deadly power struggle for the soul of the Catholic Church.

At times, Stephen’s tale of political and religious intrigue reminds the reader of theDa Vinci Code. Throughout the novel the reader will discover dozens of remarkable historical facts about the Catholic Church and appearances of the Virgin Mary that will surprise and delight.

Daniel Klimek – scholar and Marian expert for the motion picture “Queen of Peace” – writes:  “I found it to be a great book; a fascinating, fast-paced thriller, written in a strong voice, filled with rich dialogue, complex and colorful characters, a story-line that tackles the most meaningful, religious and political subjects in the world. It is an impressive work…Move over Dan Brown, I was blown away!”

Stephen Ryan is a member of International Thrillers Writers honorary literary society and Editor of the Mystic Post website.
