Media’s Blind Effort to Define Putin Misses the Mark… A Secular Press Will Never Understand Putin the Christian February 24, 2017

Vladimir_Putin_with_bishops_of_Russian_Orthodox_ChurchFrom the moment a shocked American Main Stream Press understood that Donald Trump was going to be the next President of the United States the chattering class quickly blamed Russia and Putin for their candidate’s stunning loss.

The effort to turn Putin into a supervillain was to mask what they knew in their hearts to be true but could not admit publicly and that is Hillary Clinton was a miserably flawed candidate. They all knew it, but, by God, they were not going to eat crow and say – “Oh, boy – she really had nothing to say to the American people – honestly, she totally sucked as a candidate.” Nope, not going to happen.

So, instead, it’s all Putin’s fault.

This week alone Politico.com, Guardian,  and the New Yorker magazine have lengthy pieces on Vladimir Putin. I particularly enjoyed Guardian’s  headline :
“Killer, kleptocrat, genius, spy: the many myths of Vladimir Putin”

I’ve read them all and I have to say “It’s Deja Vu, all or again” and that is elite media is again wrong on a critically important matter of foreign policy , yet they demand that the American people take them seriously.

Remember Iraq, Syria, Libya, and the Arab Spring?  Main Stream press was “all in” on the manufactured ideal that with a little bit of American ingenuity and muscle i.e. billions of dollars of military hardware, Democracy and Freedom would arrive like spring Tulips into the hearts and minds  of Middle Easterns.

The unspeakable human tragedy that followed Main Stream Press’s delusion that America knows best for cultures we know nothing about is perhaps the darkest moment in America’s history.

Much of the blame for the Geo-political catastrophe can be pinned, like a tale on a donkey, on John McCain and Lindsey Graham and their Neo-Con allies in deep-state Washington D.C.

And, so with this  dubious track record in mind, the Washington Post, The New York Times, CNN and the rest of the usual subjects trot out John McCain and Lindsey Graham AGAIN to do their bidding on what the  America people need to know about the evils of the Putin regime. McCain recently called Vladimir Putin a “Killer, a thug, a murderer” Excuse me?  Is American press really going to look to John McCain again for direction on  critical matters on foreign policy and war?  Its’s hard to believe but they are and it’s crazy…in the truest sense of the word.

Main Stream Press has the nerve to ask, with their knowing, superior, smugness : “Is Donald Trump Mentally Ill”. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.  An old boss of mine once told me, ” Steve, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.”

But here we are again, the elite press, who were callous, unapologetic, and  wrong on everything they supported in the Middle East, now feel it is their duty to sort out Putin and Russia for the American people.

No wonder we see Putin pleading the world press to start looking at international events differently and not through a rear-view mirror. Recently, an exasperated Putin rhetorically asked a gathering of journalists:

You people in turn do not feel a sense of the impending danger – this is what worries me. How do you not understand that the world is being pulled in an irreversible direction? While they pretend that nothing is going on. I do’t know how to get through to you anymore.

“I do’t know how to get through to you anymore” . This is  not the pleading of an unsophisticated man. Putin truly means it. And he means it when he says ”  You people in turn do not feel a sense of the impending danger – this is what worries me. How do you not understand that the world is being pulled in an irreversible direction?

But the instead of listening to a world leader armed with rockets and nuclear weapons, the elite  press continues to talk among themselves, reach a consensus,  then publish their wretched, misinformed, words. Words that have not only been often wrong but in fact led to catastrophic human suffering throughout the world.

Putin understands at the root of the rising tensions between the West and Russia is, to a large degree, the West’s  aggressive secular culture rigidly supported by America’s Main Stream press that conflicts with Russia’s sense of self which includes a favorable role for Christianity and religion in the public square.

Now of course the sophisticates and the elites will disagree with this point of view, but who cares?  The elite media like blind mice have been so wrong, for so long that they no longer have any understanding of what the truth is and no moral standing and with this troubling development they have resorted to calling any written word not sanctioned by their own club members to be “Fake News”. It is depressing that they cannot seen the irony in their own ridiculous fake news accusations given their miserable record.

Listen to Putin in his own words on how the Christian faith is a root cause of the misunderstandings between the West and Russia.

We see in Europe and the United States, that is the “”West”, have taken the way where they deny their own roots, including their Christian roots which form the basis of Western Civilization.

In these countries the moral basis and any traditional identity are being denied, national, religious, cultural, and even gender identities are being denied or relativised.

These policies treat a family with many children as equal to a same-sex partnership speaking judiciously. Faith in God is equal to faith in Satan.

The excesses and exaggerations of Political Correctness in theses countries indeed leads to serious consideration for the legitimization of parties that promote the propoganda of certain types.

The people in the West are actually ashamed of their religious affiliation and are indeed frightened  to speak about them.
