When I first made a decision to be a Christian as a teenager, the adult who talked to me just had me repeat the sinner’s prayer and handed me a tract called “The Four Spiritual Laws”, said “Read this” then went on to the next guy. A night to remember.
Even at that young age I had trouble with its famous diagram similar to this cartoon but with a cross called “the bridge”. I had already suspected that the cross was a metaphor for something deeper, more mysterious and universal. But it had come to symbolize a single religion, Christianity. Problem.
