Jesus Nightmare

“Jesus Nightmare” (ink & pencil on paper, 8″x8″)

Poor Jesus has no idea what’s in store for his name.

Nor does his poor mother.

And we’ve yet to see the end of it.

As for me, I’m changing things right here in my own heart.

I have some paintings, original Sophias, cartoons and prints available!

About David Hayward

David Hayward runs the blog nakedpastor as a graffiti artist on the walls of religion where he critiques religion… specifically Christianity and the church. He also runs the online community The Lasting Supper where people can help themselves discover, explore and live in spiritual freedom.

All the prayers ended with “in Jesus name”… and then when it happened it was credited to Jesus.
This is brilliant. Never thought of it before but wonder if Jesus has ptsd? Church gave it to me; surely it could have given it to him….

    People will remain idiots.

Jesus will remain Savior of those idiots.

Great, life is just God’s nightmare. That explains so much actually!

Its cool how you say blamed as most would consider it more like credit.

What did he authorize the church to do in his name: forgive sins, retain sins, and pray. All secular power and lording it over people are not his way. We have governments for that.

Hahahaha! This is funny to me b/c my job entails taking incoming calls all day. I find that those who end their conversations with God Bless are often the rudest people and the way they say it makes my stomach churn. It’s really snarky and condescending.

Brilliant, David. I “borrowed” the cartoon for my blog, though I let you have your exclusive for most of the day. ;-)
