    They don’t use birth control and apparently have regular sex so he wasn’t thinking that she might get pregnant? I think we need to hold a bake sale or fundraiser to buy JimBob a semester of Biology lessons at a nearby college.

    This comment really bothered me when I read the book. As well as not using birth control, Jim Bob & Michelle have both explained they follow Old Testament teachings on when couples can and can’t have sex. Following these teachings means couples resume intercourse at a womans most fertile time each month. Despite this, Jim Bob seems oblivious to the possibility of Michelle getting pregnant. For a husband that is supposedly so concerned about his wifes wellbeing, I find this disturbing.

    Meggie, I am currently reading that book and haven’t gotten very far into it. It’s very triggering to me but that quote just jumped out as so wrong on so many levels. I could not help think about the scripture that says “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” He talks a good talk but inside that’s not his core belief.

    Jim Bob Duggar disgusts me. He apparently spends so much time gratifying his sex drive that I’m surprised he has time for anything else. I can’t imagine that Michelle gets any pleasure out of it. Can she even feel anything any more? She must be stretched like an old sweater after all those kids.

    6 months from now, the Duggar fans will pile on here all indignant, saying how swell the Duggars are and how dare you say anything about these good Christians, just because they’re on the same network with Honey Boo Boo, Trophy Wives and toddler porn shows, and Jim Bob needs help with the basics of reproduction.
