Encouraging Your Husband Part 1 Dress to Please

Encouraging Your Husband Part 1 Dress to Please July 27, 2017

EncouragingAlright, so I don’t think we need to cover any more writing love notes and sticking them willy-nilly everywhere so I’m moving on to this topic, a controversial one of dressing just to please your man. It can be fun to do that every now and then, but Nancy’s commenters predictably take it way too far.

If there is a chapter on cooking to please your husband using that old trope that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach I may just rage out.

This is a series looking at the marriage advice given in Nancy Campbell’s book β€˜How to Encourage Your Husband’.

While packing for a move I have turned up are books, terrible idiotic books filled with toxic advice. One of those books is by Nancy Campbell of Above Rubies β€˜How to Encourage Your Husband’. I think I ended up with this book in the aftermath of leaving my old church, given to me by one of my former friends that thought it would β€˜help’ my marriage since in her eyes my husband leaving our old church meant that I wasn’t doing my job of wife well enough. Reading through this book now I cannot help but laugh at some of the suggestions. The book is entirely written by commenters and comments from Nancy Campbell’s website.

Dress More Femininely

Recently I have begun to honor my husband by dressing more femininely and lovely to look upon. I wear far more skirts than before. I wear bright colors and take care with my hair and makeup. My husband loves to come home and be greeted by a wife who has made a real effort to please him. He always says he loves me no matter what I look I like (typo in book), but he is encouraged to know I love him enough to spend the extra time to delight him.
