Quoting Quiverfull: Television is Pushing ‘Gay Agenda’?

quotingquiverfull

by Ken Ham of Answers In Genesis originally from his Blog as quoted by Ladies Against Feminism - The Sexual Liberation Movement Failed Us. We're Not SurprisedEditor's note: Television really isn't a medium that has ever completely formed and informed the morals of this nation. Most of the time it is a mirror reflecting  whatever social issue will get the most viewers, even if the issue isn't as pressing as it is shown to be on the tiny screen. All you have to do is look at shows like 'Jerry Springer' to see the axiom of whatever grabs the ratings. ABC family showing a gay teen kiss is just doing whatever will generate the most viewers, which translates into more advertising dollars. It's … [Read more...]

All Are Equal, All Are Welcome, But Not Really

by Bruce Gerencser cross posted from his blog The Life and Times of Bruce Gerencser Here’s a recent comment I saw on Facebook:My Church stresses inclusivity. All are welcome. By grace through faith anyone can enter the kingdom of God. We will find out at death, but right now it is above my pay grade. I only accept it. I am in favor of equal treatment for all humans. I am not in favor of gay marriage. The Bible does define marriage as a man and a woman. I know at least one person from several gay couples. I have no problem. Their decision. God will separate the sheep from the goats. We are all going to be surprised who we find in Heaven or Hell. We may make a judgment, but God is the j … [Read more...]

Image from Amazon.com

NLQ friend and author of "13:24  - A Story of Faith and Obsession" M. Dolon Hickmon has written a review of Patheos blogger Wendy Thomas Russell's new book "Relax, It's Just God" for The Humanist.Com. Wendy blogs about parenting at Natural Wonderers. This is a book that deals with the issues of how and when to explain or expose your children to the ideas of faith, even if you have no religious beliefs of your own as a parent. It cites research data from a large group of secular parents positing when and what to teach your children, or if you should bother teaching your children any knowledge of faith or belief. … [Read more...]

News Round Up: Kevin Swanson, Matt Walsh and Other Evangelicals Behaving Very Very Badly

I was going to use each of these news stories individually but there was such an overwhelming flood of awful it just makes more sense to do long posting with a list. Let us never forget what their true agendas are. First up comes from Arizona.Arizona state Sen. Sylvia Allen wants there to be a federal law that forces everyone to go to the church of their choice every Sunday in an attempt to bring morality back to the nation. While she's claiming her statement was of the moment and flippant it's a scary thing to discuss in a nation built on freedom of religion. … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: Synthetic Children Killing Off Motherhood?

quotingquiverfull

by Hattie Hart and Alana Newman from The Federalist in response to an interview with fashion designers Dolce & Gabbanna in Italy's Panorama Magazine and as quoted by Ladies Against Feminism - Synthetic Children, Spiritual Orphans, and the Obliteration of Mothers.Editor's note: The latest thing to enrage the ladies at LAF is the idea that homosexual people can have children via reproductive technology. In what way does allowing others of different sexual orientations mean the death of traditional motherhood? It doesn't. Their verklempting has more to do with the fact that it's not just one mother and one father raising a child in a Christian household. They want to mandate what is the … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: Ladies Against Feminism Loves Dolce & Gabbana Homophobic Parenting Views??

quotingquiverfull

by Catholic News Agency on a recent article in Italian magazine Panorama  interviewing designers Dolce & Gabbana as quoted by Ladies Against Feminism - Homosexual Designers Back Traditional MarriageEditor's note: Part one of LAF using the words of Dolce & Gabbana to try and further their 'No Gay Parents' and 'No Gay Marriage' agenda. I guess we fear that which we do not understand. Nice shaming/blaming of D & G by the ladies of LAF. Second part of this tomorrow morning dealing with who exactly should be, in their opinion, using reproductive technologies. … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: Picking Your Sexuality?

quotingquiverfull

by Clint Echols - pastor First Baptist Church of Zeeland, Michigan - from Raw Story - Michigan Pastors: Being gay is an 'abomination' like being an 'axe murderer'Editor's note: why is it that the Evangelical and Fundamentalist Church cannot seem to understand that sexuality isn't necessarily a 'choice', like picking out a pair of pants or buying a particular type of yogurt. It's not that simple, no matter how much they may wish it or proclaim it. … [Read more...]

But Jesus Never Mentioned Gay People

Image from Defeating The Dragons - Samantha Field

by Samantha Field cross posted from her blog Defeating The Dragons A few years ago, a friend of mine put up a link on Facebook with the a title something like “Every Verse Where Jesus Talks about Homosexuality.” Puzzled, I clicked through … only to get a completely blank page, with nothing but the title. And some ads, because, y’know, capitalism. I laughed, especially when I saw a number of confused people commenting on the facebook post, wondering why the page wouldn’t load. I think it’s one of the few click-bait articles I’ve ever enjoyed, mostly because I enjoy pointed humor. … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: The Devil Hates Christian Marriage?

quotingquiverfull

by Colin Campbell from Meat For Men - Building on the Right FoundationEditor's note: And continuing on the same theme that his wife, Nancy Campbell, uses here is some blaming the world for being evil and claiming you have to keep your children protected from that same evil world. They are in lockstep with each other. They love to make mothers live in fear and denigrate anyone that doesn't agree with their agenda. … [Read more...]

News: Westboro Baptist Fails At Picketing Leonard Nimoy’s Funeral

news

From Jezebel - Westboro Baptist Wanted to Picket Nimoy's Funeral, But Couldn't Find ItEvery now and then we at NLQ get to see some righteous karma play out. The very fact that WBC could not find out where Nimoy's funeral was and stink up the joint with their disrespectful signs is some sort of divine justice. From Jezebel:It's not quite poetic justice, but we'll take it: the Westboro Baptist Church, a group of litigious trolls with the barest ties to Jesus, were unable to picket Leonard Nimoy's funeral because they don't know where it is. The WBC announced their plans to picket the funeral of the beloved actor earlier this week, as is their wont. This is what the family, … [Read more...]
