Facing Our Fears: How the Voices of Homeschooling Alumni Can Help Homeschooling

facing-our-fears-cover

This is the presentation that Homeschoolers Anonymous and HARO's R. L. Stollar would have given had he been allowed to participate in the 2014 Great Homeschool Convention that took place in Ontario, California. Too bad GHC bowed to fear and pressure from within the homeschooling movement and rescinded their permission for Stollar to participate in the conference. It is a powerful presentation and would have been helpful to those at the conference to hear. From the Homeschoolers Anonymous site:by R.L. StollarFacing Our Fears: How the Voices of Homeschool Alumni Can Help Homeschooling was originally prepared by R.L. Pensacola Christian College and Sexual Abuse Victims

PCC

by Samantha Field cross posted from her blog Defeating The Dragons I’ve never named the college I attended for undergrad– not here, not anywhere else online. I have never brought it up here on my blog because I didn’t want it to become about the specific place I went to college. The problems that exist there exist at most other fundamentalist colleges, and I didn’t want anyone pigeonholing me. I was also  trying to avoid the harassment I personally know comes with critiquing this college in public. … [Read more...]
