Quoting Quiverfull: Feminism Declares Marriage A Crime?

by Jennifer Adams of Boundless as quoted by Ladies Against Feminism - The Difficulty of Admitting We Want to be MarriedEditor's note: At no point in Jennifer Adams piece on Boundless does she blame feminism for women dismissing marriage. That is strictly the spin out of nothing that Ladies Against Feminism does. They read things, like the Bible, like other blogs, come to a completely different conclusion than the meaning inferred and run with that false idea. They seem feminism under every idea. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be married, but not wanting to be married is not some evil feminist plot. Always astounded by the reading comprehension fail in many of LAF's pieces. Guess … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: Get Married So You Won’t Have A Heart Attack?

by Nicole M. King originally posted at Mercantor Net as 'Marriage protects from heart disease' before being quoted and renamed by  Ladies Against Feminism - Feminism is Bad For Your Heart HealthEditor's note - LAF is still bloviating over '50 Shades of Grey' mostly, right down to posting articles opposing the movie by people like Vision Forum's Geoffrey Botkin. They have taken time out from that theme to proclaim that feminists have heart attacks, twisting the research that shows married folks, feminism supporters or not, have fewer fatal heart attacks. Disingeniousness at its finest. Here's what LAF had to say about the article and study: … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: Birth Control Pills Make Women Chose Feminine Men?

by Matt Walsh from The Matt Walsh Blog on The Blaze - Birth Control Pills: Men Get Free Sex, Women Could Get CancerEditor's note: After misunderstanding the research showing that there is a slightly higher risk of a rare brain tumor Matt goes on to claim that the pill makes women leave their masculine husbands and gravitate to the 'feminine' men. There aren't words enough to explain how wrong that is.  … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: Birth Control Pills Poison That Gives Men Free Sex?

by Matt Walsh of The Matt Walsh Blog at The Blaze - Birth Control Pills: Men Get Free Sex, Women Could Get Cancer Editor's note: Matt is taking the news that some birth control pills might potentially raise the growth rate of certain rare brain tumors to mean 'omg~ birth control pills cause cancer!' He cites an article on Time.com as his source, yet willfully misunderstands what it says. Be careful going to The Blaze because, just like Matt Walsh's blog there are multiple pop ups that go past your pop up blocker.  … [Read more...]

Can We Please Stop it With the ‘Feminist’ Videos Already?

by Samantha Field cross posted from her blog Defeating The Dragons You’ve probably seen the video that the above image is pulled from– the Facebook-viral “Slap Her.” If you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch it here. I don’t really want to take the time to dissect all the reasons why this video was actually kind of horrible, but if you’re interested, these two articles covered it rather well:Dr. Rebecca Hains’ ‘Slap Her': Fanpage.it video objectifies girls, exploits boys, and trivializes domestic violence R.L. Stollar’s ‘Slap Her': The So-Called Heartwarming Video that’s Actually Disturbing … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: Woman ‘Are’ Equal As Long As They Submit?

by Doug Wilson from Blog and Mablog - Baby Oil on the Bowling BallEditor's note: Now I know this is all so word-salady, verbose, and not the easiest to parse, but if I'm reading it correctly Mr. Wilson is trying to say that there is equality between men and women as long as the wife is submissive and obedient to her husband. … [Read more...]

So, Are You a Feminist?

by Samantha Field cross posted from her blog Defeating The Dragons It’s become almost de riguer for red-carpet journalists (and others) to confront a female celebrity and demand to know whether or not she considers herself a feminist. This bothers me. From what I’ve seen, most of the time the publication asking doesn’t have any vested interest in their answer (see, a Time magazine writer asking Shailene this question, and then another turning right around and putting “feminist” on their “words to ban” poll). This leads me to believe that these people aren’t confronting these women because they care about feminism, or want to help overturn some of the misconceptions about feminism– they jus … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: Secular Men Don’t Take Any Responsibility?

by Kelly Crawford from Generation Cedar - Raising Boys Into Men: Tend The FieldKelly sincerely believes only Christian guys are 'Take Charge'. Too bad in reality it seems many 'Good Christian Men' are either bullies/tin plated dictators or apathetic blame shifters. There doesn't seem to be many guys between those two toxic polar opposites in the church.  Another false charge laid at the feet of feminism by Kelly. Just like women, men are all different and run the gamut of 'types' Saying that a religious dogma makes men superior to others without the same beliefs is short-sided, childish and insulting to all men. Talk about man hating. … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: Women Only Want to Control Men?

Quoting Quiverfull: “Gynecist” is a Real Word?

Ladies Against Feminism still haven't learned their lesson about doing due diligence of the works that they publish as fact. Yesterday they published a piece from American Thinker called Wendy Davis: Dreams from my Uterus that uses the made up word 'Gynecist' as some sort of new word to describe those they called 'feminists' but you or I might say were women that wanted to have the right to make decisions about their reproductive organs. … [Read more...]
