Weirdest and Silliest Mother’s Day Promotions at Church?

by Suzanne TitkemeyerYesterday this crossed my Facebook feed from a mainstream church I used to attend post-Quiverfull. This is their idea of a good Mother's Day activity. This has the virtue of being something I would have never imagined as a Mother's Day thing in the sea of free-floating gagging it is so silly and sweet Mother's Day in church celebrations. Though I know the pastor that designated this activity is doing it because his wive is a female jock that loves to play sports. … [Read more...]

Mother’s Day Outside the Cruel Quiver

by Cindy Kunsman cross posted from her blog Under Much GraceThis past year, I saw this meme that my best friend put up on social media. Enjoy.Too bad that trying out motherhood like this isn't mandatory in high school because it might just make kids think twice about sex without birth control. One of my children did the Baby Think It Over for three days and nights and by the end was laying in her bed crying that she felt 'so trapped'. The experience taught her that she was not going to be ready for motherhood for quite some time. Not a bad thing to realize. … [Read more...]
