Quoting Quiverfull: African Americans Are The ‘Real Racists’?

by Zsuzsanna Anderson from her blog Are They All Yours? - Joyous Kwanzaa? No Thanks!Editor's note: Every now and then one of the Quiverfull leaders will slip up and state that one of the aims of the Quiverfull movement is to outbreed darker races. Nancy Campbell has admitted it a couple of times along with a few others. Turns out, surprise, surprise, that Zsuzsanna Anderson, wife of pastor Steven L. Anderson is also a bigot against blacks. … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: Combatting STDs Creates More STDs?

by Zsuzsanna Anderson wife of Steven L. Anderson pastor of Faithful Word Baptist Church and blogger at Are They All Yours?Editor's note: This is from a posting Zsuzanna made where she ranted about the evils of women using the IVF method of having children.  There's a lot to unpack in the posting, but this particular bit of racist assumptions of hers jumped out quickly as awful and so incredibly judgmental. How can providing education about STDs and responsible tools to avoid STDs, like condoms, be wrong in a place where you stand an incredibly high risk of infection be wrong? … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: Feelings Are Invalid In Sexual Assault & Life?

by Doug Wilson from Blog & Mablog - Down a Grassy ExplanadeEditor's note: First he starts off in his blog going to the knee jerk reaction/control method of denigrating feelings and emotions that people experience, as if having emotions was a terrible and unGodly thing. Then he slides right into this little toxic bit of blaming and shaming sexual assault victims before saying that college students are a bunch of whiny wimps. How does this fit with the words of Christ? … [Read more...]

Thoughts on Charleston

by Samantha Field cross posted from her blog Defeating The Dragons If you haven’t heard about what happened in Charleston, South Carolina this past Wednesday night, here’s a brief summary: A white man walked into a Bible study at Emmanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church– which is one of the oldest black congregations in the country and is an icon of the Abolitionist and Civil Rights movements– and sat in the service for an hour before shooting and killing nine black people, mostly women, while saying “I have to do it. You rape our women and are taking over our country and you have to go.” This white man has confessed to the terrorist attack and told the police that he “wanted to start a … [Read more...]

News – Race, Homeschooling and Domestic Terrorism

This first news isn't precisely Quiverfull or Fundamentalist Christian related but it is awful. A young man by the name of Dylann Roof is a suspect in the shooting deaths of nine people in a prayer meeting in Charleston, South Carolina. This took place at a historic African American church that has been a cornerstone of the community since 1816. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this senseless killing spree.More from CNN - Charleston church shooting: '9 killed because they were black,' official says … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: So What’s The Different Again Between Christian And Muslim Men?

by Bojidar Marinov as quoted by Ladies Against Feminism and cross posted from his blog Navigating History - Civilization & Self ControlEditor's note: In light of all the recent pearl clutching in the world of Evangelical Christianity about modesty and yoga pants Marinov's assertions about how self controlled Evangelical Christian men are seems like a ridiculous lie! How many times in our old lives in Fundigelicalism and Quiverfull were we told to never defraud a man by dressing immodestly? No difference at all from what Marinov is claiming about Islamic men. Bonus points for historical revision, racism and Islamaphobia as well.  … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: Never Miss an Opportunity to Muslim-Bash While Being Anti-Birth Control?

by Vaughn Ohlman from True Love Doesn't Wait - Eight Leaps of IllogicRemember a few days ago when we posted a bit from Conservative Christians debunking the Quiverfull movement? Vaughn Ohlman has taken it upon himself to dispute every single point of that list, one by one.But while he's doing that his racism is clearly on display. In the wake of Ferguson and other tragedies born out of racism can we afford to be racist in a country built by many different races, including Arabs and African Americans? This seems particularly cruel, evil and ignorant on the eve of a holiday celebrating giving thanks for the blessings of our nation, a nation founded on immigration and the idea of a … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: Demonizing ‘The Other’ You Don’t Understand?

by Colin Campbell from Meat For Men - Triumphing Over EvilNLQ is not condoning ISIS  or the beheading of American journalist James Foley or any other militant behaviors by Muslims or any religion or people group. But at the same time how does this type of speech by Colin Campbell help the situation? Seems like it's racist hate speech from here.  How does Colin know the mind of God or anything? Is is alright to pray for the defeat or possible death of those you don't agree with or understand? Men, these blood thirsty terrorist groups such as Al-Qaeda, ISIS, Hamas, Boko Haram, and the Muslim Brotherhood, etc., have no match to the earnest prayers of God's humble servants who understand t … [Read more...]

Quoting Quiverfull: Abortion Targets Reducing Minority Populations?

by Voddie Baucham posted at Ladies Against Feminism - Voddie Baucham on Abortion, Adoption and President Obama It’s beyond acceptable. It’s normalized to even celebrate it so that is a big difference between my life and a lot of lives that don’t even get to begin today…abortion is such a kind word. It’s the annihilation of life and I am grieved by that. I am also grieved the absolute ignorance of many people who are targeted by abortionists. Black women make up around 11% of the population but a third or more of the abortions of black and Hispanic women combined, around a quarter of the population, more than half the abortions. … [Read more...]
