UN resolution + Kerry speech = terror attack

UN resolution + Kerry speech = terror attack January 19, 2017

I have written here and at Christianity Today that Palestinian journalist Khaled Abu Toameh predicted that the Kerry speech last month defending the anti-Israel UN resolution would lead to more terror against Israel.  He was right.

Just before the UN resolution (Dec. 23) a Jerusalem Post reporter asked more than twenty Palestinians in East Jerusalem if they cared whether Israel moved its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.  No one cared.  Then after hearing John Kerry’s Dec. 28 speech warning that such a move might lead to terror, the Palestinian Authority told its imams to preach in their Friday, January 6, sermons against such a move and warn that it deserved violent retaliation.  On January 8 an East Jerusalem Palestinian drove a truck into a crowd of soldiers, killing four.  His family said he had been inspired by a mullah’s sermon on January 6.

This is one of many examples of how American policies and practices in recent years have stoked Middle Eastern violence in general and Palestinian violence in particular.  For more on this, click here.
