Articles/Statements by Muslims:

Why Islam doesn’t need a reformation by Mehdi Hasan is a must read. I suggest you read and share this piece where he says that “Islam isn’t Christianity. They are are not analogous, and it is deeply ignorant to pretend otherwise.”

Read the Statement by Prof. Emad Shahin on his death sentence about the Egyptian Justice system.  It is a thoughtful read that will make you emotional.

Sayeeda Warsi writes, If we are to fight extremism we must bring people together, not silence and ban them. “To build British values, we must listen to British Muslims. Let’s not legislate for tolerance by being intolerant.”

Articles About Muslims:

I can’t say that I am shocked: Israel sentences Palestinian to 9 months for Facebook posts.  The Israeli magistrate’s court in Jerusalem handed sentence of prison time to Omar al-Shalabi, The former secretary-general of Fatah in Jerusalem,  after he was convicted of inciting anti-Jewish violence and supporting “terror” in posts and comments on Facebook.

Interesting Stories About Muslims:

Hassan Anmar is a photographer for The Associated Press. He travels across the Middle East and often see women wearing the niqab. He “decided to begin shooting images through a full niqab to offer a glimpse of what it must be like to look through them.” Read Behind The Niqab: A View From Underneath The Veil Worn By Some Muslim Women and check out the images.
