I would like to know if Pagans are so nice kind and sweet, why in the old days did they, if they were so tolerant of all faiths, throw with great glee the christians to the lions? if they are so for “live and let live” why did they torture rape and genrally couse mahem? and don’t use the excuse that that wich called it’s self christian did the same thing, because the papacy is nothing more then a revived sudo paganistic organisation wich only uses christian names for the same old pagan rituals that existed during babylonian times, read the book called Babylon mystery religion it will explain more fully what that whole system is about. during the dark ages this revived slightly altered pagan organization torchered and burned as heritics  true christians ie. those who trusted Jesus as savior and rejected the popes authority. I once considered myself a pagan in that I believed in a God but didn’t know much beyond that, but when I checked into the newage movement, it certainly didn’t give me a sense of peace in my life. When I heard that I could give my life to Jesus and have a certanty of heaven when I die, I embraced Him with all my heart. I tell you all this because if you really check into the history of your own belief system as pagans, you may find something you will not like, don’t just go with the wow factor of your spirituall experiences really investigate the origins of that system, people tend to go along with the crowd but how many go with God? only a small remnant, that doesn’t mean they are wrong God’s spirit testifies with my spirit that He is truth.

As far as I understand history, throwing the Christians to the lions was not a religious thing, it was a political thing by the Romans. Among the reasons the Roman political apparatus threw them to the lions:
    1. They were  a subversive group.2. They denied that the Roman Emperors were gods. The horrible actions attributed to paganism (in this case) were about maintaining control of the masses for political reasons. I think you’ll find that most of the torture, rape, and general mayhem committed are usually done for political and not religious reasons from Roman times up to the present day, even by Christians. They aren’t doing them as a rule because they’re Christians, but because of political or nationalistic reasons.
