For Boxing Day — how about a caption contest for this great polar bear photo

(Come up with your own caption and leave it in comments. I’ll put the best one here.)

As my friend Richard observed, since I have no servants, there’s not much to do on Boxing Day. So how about a caption contest?

I came across this wonderful photo by Russian photographer Alexey Tishchenko (not the boxer that I’m aware of, but I don’t read Russian so my research was limited — though that would have been a really good pun for Boxing Day!), part of a series taken last month of two polar bears at Hudson Bay, Churchill, Manitoba, Canada.

Click through (twice) to see it full size and make sure to offer your caption in comments!

Another from Facebook — Bear on the right has just finished saying this: “A tourist came face to face with a polar bear in the wild. Afraid of being eaten, he fell to his knees and started praying. When the polar bear knelt down beside him and started praying too, the man shouted, “It’s a miracle!” The polar bear opened one eye and said, “Don’t talk while I’m saying grace.”
