Three Reasons Not to Vote for Mrs. Clinton

Three Reasons Not to Vote for Mrs. Clinton July 28, 2016

Is it Thursday? Not Friday yet? That’s too bad. If it’s only Thursday it seems there is not only more work for me to do, but more of the Democrat Convention to endure. Wouldn’t it be so great if Jesus came back now and put us all out of our misery?

I’m tired and bored by the whole thing so here’s three reasons not to vote for Mrs. Clinton.
1. I know she’s a lady, and we should vote for the lady, because she’s a lady, but she’s not really any more qualified to be president than Mr. Trump, who is also not qualified. Just being around politics doesn’t make you able to “get stuff done”. Being in the senate, and being Secretary of State doesn’t engender my confidence that she won’t muck up being president. Mr. Obama wasn’t really qualified either, as we saw for eight years.
2. I know she’s a lady and we should vote for the lady because she’s a lady, but she’s not really pro lady, nor pro choice. If she was pro lady and pro choice she would make every effort to ensure that ladies were not culturally pressured to kill their infants, were not culturally pressured to send their infants into the hands of the state, and were culturally given space to be home with their infants if they so desired.
3. I know she’s a lady and we should vote for the lady because she’s a lady, but I, who am also a lady, would like freedom from the ever oppressive state. I would like to live my life simply, serving my neighbor and caring for my children. I would like the church to be free and not have the state peering over its shoulder all the time, trying to get it in trouble. All the five point and ten point and a thousand point plans, besides being complicated and oppressive, illustrate the heart of the matter–which is that the state is already too big and too concerned with the details of people’s lives. It is not Mrs. Clinton’s job to provide healthcare and childcare for the ladies of the country any more than it was Mr. Obama’s. I don’t welcome the state to have any opinion about me or my body. Mucking up trade deals and international relationships is bad enough, bringing it home is a mile too far.

I was going to have ten reasons but I’m too depressed. I’m going to go do all that work that has to be done before the weekend. Pip pip.
