Skateboards, Afghan Girls, and Freedom May 20, 2015

Girls in Afghanistan are forbidden to ride bikes, but that’s not slowing them down. Oliver Percovich, an Australian skateboarder, started the non-profit organization Skateistan in 2007 to help bring education and freedom through skateboarding. It’s quickly grown to be the number one sport among women in Afghanistan.
